Webb robotics students qualify for world competition

Team 359 Webb.exe finished the robotics post-season as finalists at the Southern California Championship in Monrovia, CA, on March 9. The impressive team achieved three of the top five scores in Southern California this year and was only a few points away from qualifying for Worlds.

“They had one of the best and most reliable robots in one of the world’s most competitive regions,” said Robotics program advisor Mr. Andrew Hamilton.

Additionally, Jonathan Li ’25, Tyler Liu ’25, and Aaron Yang ’25 earned a spot at the VEX Robotics World Championship with their independent robotics team Σ³ (Sigma Cubed)! The three Webbies won the well-earned Think Award at the VEX California State Championship on March 16.
