Webb Valedictorian Nominated for Federal Bench

The Hon. Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong ’93 has been nominated to the federal bench by President Joe Biden.

Frimpong – valedictorian of her Vivian Webb class – has served as a Los Angeles Superior Court judge since 2016. Previously, she had been vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of the Millennium Challenge Corporation as well as serving for eight years in a key roles at the U.S. Department of Justice.

Frimpong graduated from Harvard University and earned her juris dictate from Yale Law School. She is a strong supporter of Webb, most recently speaking at the 2021 commencement for Vivian Webb School.

Biden nominated Frimpong for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The appointment must be confirmed by the Senate.
