Webb app developer honored by Congresswoman
Congratulations to Tyler (Junyu) Liu ’25 for his second-place award bestowed by Congresswoman Judy Chu at her App Challenge Awards Ceremony on December 19th at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Liu and Daniel Miao (from The Harker School) created Factorial!, a web-based app that ascertains bias in news. Using AI and algorithmic analysis, Liu and Miao’s app, a Google Chrome extension, presents on the top of a web page, so as not to require users to change their reading habits. The app took over six months to create, and they continue to work on its development and expand its compatibility. We are Webb-proud!
