Webb’s first ever Diversity & Community Symposium

Webb held its first ever Diversity & Community Symposium this week. Students, staff, and faculty chose from over 20 workshops led by faculty, staff, and professionals involving a diversity of interests: art, science, history, yoga, and culture. Dr. Smith discussed modern feminism, College Guidance hosted an info session about the Supreme Court decision on affirmative action, and Dr. Greco welcomed students to the art studio for a plate-smashing project inspired by Fluxus artist, Yoko Ono. Everyone met for lunch on Centennial Field to discuss their morning workshops and enjoy a street taco buffet prepared by the dining hall before heading to their afternoon sessions.

Want to get a closer look at the art students created during Mend M.E. and Self Help Graphics workshops? Don’t miss Art Cafe this Friday evening in Stockdale Community Center.
