Meet Scott Cooper, New Assistant Director of Alumni Relations

Scott Cooper is the new Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at The Webb Schools, effective July 1. Cooper was previously the Alumni Engagement Manager at his alma mater, Augsburg University, in Minneapolis, Minn., where he planned events like Homecoming and the Sesquicentennial, led several boards and committees, and worked with student groups. Most recently, he was the Alumni Engagement Officer at Touro University California where he created a social media presence, alumni ambassador and mentorship programs, and a robust podcast series featuring Touro alumni. “I am thrilled to be at Webb! Even though I’m not an alum of this school, I feel like my time at my own boarding school gives me an insight into what I can expect in regards to the culture and community at Webb. There is such a rich history and I feel very proud to be serving the alumni community here. I’m excited to bring my previous alumni relations experience to Webb and continue my career at such a prestigious institution,” said Cooper.

“We are thrilled to have Scott join the Alumni Relations team. He’ll be working with our Alumni Council, class agents, reunion chairs and engaging with our 4,700 alumni worldwide. This is such an exciting time at Webb with the approaching Centennial in 2022,” said Laura Wensley, Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations.

Cooper received his B.A. in Communication from Augsburg, where he also was a linebacker on the football team. He lives in Altadena with his partner, Craig (and their dogs Chloe and Suggs). Fun fact about Scott: he is an avid equestrian and competes on the amateur show circuit with his horse, Chip.
