Webb alum wins at Imperial College London Hackathon

Mert Albeyoglu ’21 was on a winning team at this year’s Imperial College London Hackathon (IC Hack ’24), Europe’s largest student-run hackathon. His team’s artificial intelligence engine, which analyses health metrics, won the Health-Tech category.

“Our project utilized the Terra API to build a dashboard integrated with smart wearable data, offering capabilities similar to Apple Health, Garmin Connect, and Google Health,” wrote Mert on LinkedIn. “Furthermore, we developed an AI algorithm that used health metrics to calculate wellness and readiness scores.”

Mert was also recently selected as the “UCL Computer Science Student Ambassador” by his university department at University College London.
