Members of the Head's Circle, Leadership Society, Pacesetter's Club and Thompson & Vivian Webb Society, along with members of key volunteer groups attended a reception at Taylor and Anne Stockdale's home. Sixty guests attended the event held on the Stockdale's patio on a warm May afternoon. Alumni from seven decades were in attendance - from former Chairman of the Board Paul Reitler '54 to Ethan Reznik '16 (Occidental College) – along with parents, current and former. Parent Class Agents, Alumni Council members, and Trustees from both Webb and the Alf Museum were also in attendance.
Taylor Stockdale spoke to guests about the wonderful highlights from the 2016-2017 school year, including:
Alumni and parents have generously given nearly $4 million to date
Dies Mulieres & Men in the Arena was a memorable day of dialogue event where issues of gender identity and gender roles were discussed
College Admission: 104 graduates received 423 offers of admission to 249 colleges and universities; 90% of the class will be attending a college ranked in the top 10% in the nation; 100% of Webb's senior class was admitted to a selective 4-year college
Athletic Success: 43 All-Leagues honors for Fall and Winter athletes, 17 of 21 teams qualified for CIF post season play, 10 league championships this year ; 14 League MVPs

The Hooper Community Center renovation is scheduled to begin within the next year
Faculty Housing: The first set of duplexes will be finished in the next few months and Webb is looking forward to starting on the next set soon after
Alf Museum renovation: The expanded storage collection project has begun and will be completed by the end of the summer
The Centennial: Everything Webb does is in preparation for celebrating its Centennial in 2022 and setting up to achieve another 100 years

Alumni, family and friends are invited to join Head of Schools Taylor Stockdale and special guests for three events this April in New York City (April 11), Philadelphia (April 12) and London, England (April 14).
Once again, Webb athletes had a strong showing across the board during the 2018 winter season. Led by WSC soccer, which finished the season League Champions and with a deep run into CIF, both VWS and WSC athletics posted very positive results. VWS Water Polo also finished its league play in second place.
“It is always great each season to not only see our athletes and teams be successful on the field of play, but to see them learn and grow as individuals and part of a community,” said Director of Athletics Steve Wishek.
