VWS Basketball
Basketball is a favorite among Webb students, with the whole school gathering in the evenings in the loud Les Perry Gymnasium to cheer on the Gauls. In 2020, VWS basketball captured its second consecutive league championship.

Veronnica Alvarado, VWS Varsity Basketball Coach
Coach Veronnica Alvarado attended Trinity Christian College and Arizona Western on softball scholarships. She received her bachelor’s degree in sports management from Liberty University. She also attended Southern California University of Health Science for medical school prerequisites.
Along with being a paramedic and working 911 emergency medicine, she has been coaching high school basketball since 2010.
Alvarado said the best part about coaching at Webb is “getting to know players off the court and be supportive in their athletic and social endeavors.”
